Turmeric Jasmine Rice
1 cup Jasmine Rice
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red peppers
1 T chopped chives - we used dried
Heat water, salt, red peppers, chives and Turmeric until boiling. Add rice, stir and cover. Reduce heat to simmer for 25 minutes (or according to rice package directions).
We served Shrimp Creole over the rice. See recipe under Entrees.
